Birdwatching

The house is on the edge of the Brenne National Park, an area of small lakes and grazing land, which is an important stopover for migratory birds. Over 260 species have been observed in the Brenne, with over 150 species nesting in the area.

There are a number of hides with one specially for observing the rare European Pond Tortoise. At the beginning of May the house itself is surrounded by Nightingales - magical!
